Youth
Our "With 1 Voice Youth Track" envisions 10,000 high school students living out the 1st Commandment first, and the 2nd commandment second, above other aspects of life. We are working with youth pastors around the city to encourage the kind of prayer that precedes revival. We offer the DEDICATE prayer summit at New Years, IMMERSE intensives in the summer, and the PERSIST internship for a month and a half in the summer.
The AHOP Community
Interested in joining a small group of Christians who are called to build united 24-7 prayer in Austin? We are drawn from local churches around Austin. Our life is centered on the prayer room. We live and work towards reconciliation and unity between denominations, races, cultures, and generations, as well as across the I-35 barrier. We welcome you to visit AHOP, join our email list, or join us on any Friday evening for community dinner and prayer.
The Seabrook Center
We are located in the Seabrook Center, a building named in honor of a black pastor and educator who literally gave his life for the cause of reconciliation in Austin. Seven organizations "time-slice" this 10,000 square foot warehouse. We are also actively looking for a new home that can accomodate our vision for community living and church retreats.
24-7 Prayer Worldwide - "Awaken the Watchmen"
What is happening in Austin is unique -- the collaboration between churches, the integration of art with prayer, the unity between campus ministries at UT. But it is also set in a larger context of a worldwide explosion of 24/7 prayer. In the history of the church, there have been isolated instances of united 24/7 prayer recorded -- the book of Acts, Bangor Ireland, the Moravian community, and Azusa Street, for example. Each of these instances was closely followed by a powerful wave of missions and evangelism. So as you watch the excellent "Awaken the Watchmen" video, let your mind ponder what God has in store for the earth now, as 24/7 prayer is no longer an isolated phenomenon, but a global movement.
Note that this clip only shows the first 10 minutes of the video, the last 3 minutes are not available yet due to YouTube restrictions. Please contact us if you live in Austin and would like to receive the entire video on DVD, we would be happy to send it to you.
