The AHOP Community
We cannot build 24/7 united prayer in Austin if we are not practicing it ourselves. Why? Today’s young adults rightfully demand authenticity. Pastors of local churches rightfully demand long-term commitment So in the AHOP Community, a small group of about 50 people from around Austin and central Texas give themselves to living out continuous prayer, reconciliation, and collaboration. This group includes AHOP’s staff and leadership. We maintain a prayer room as the center of our community life. We develop and practice the four prayer models that we teach young adults and churches – which combine prayer, music, and art. We actively practice reconciliation by engaging in various churches and ministries throughout Austin. We pray prayers of thanksgiving and intercession for them. We take an annual retreat. And we work to live openly, keeping “short accounts” with each other by quickly resolving offenses received or perceived.
