PERSIST is the Austin House of Prayer's summer youth internship. Those who go through the five-week PERSIST internship program will learn more of God's love for them, grow deeply in prayer, loving their neighbor, and loving the Church. Interns will spend more enjoyable time in prayer than many think possible, go out to the city (and also to ministries in our building) to share God's love to people, and receive one-on-one mentoring and teaching from the Austin House of Prayer staff. The teaching themes are similar to those from IMMERSE - intimacy with God, happy holiness, reconciliation, and treasure hunting. However, the fun part is PERSIST participants get to "do" a lot more of the stuff so the teachings will go deeper in their hearts.

The dates for summer, 2010 are from June 21st - July 16th and will end with IMMERSE, which will be from July 19 - 24th. The normal schedule will be Monday-Thursday from 10am-5pm, then one staff-lead night watch prayer time a week on Friday nights/Saturday mornings from 12am-4am. There will also be other times on Saturday afternoons for outreaches. The cost is $900, which includes four books, audio teachings, lunches for Monday - Thursdays and IMMERSE.
