With 1 Voice
Why do we include the phrase "With 1 Voice" in our Youth and Church Track programs? Very simply, because for us it captures succinctly the type of "unity in diversity" that we envision, pray for, and work towards among the various Christian churches, ministries, denominations in Austin.

With 1 Voice is a phrase or concept that is central to each of three Biblical passages. Each of the three passages has three things in common: a single-hearted cry to God from His people, and a dramatic response by God that changes history. This provides a basic pattern for With 1 Voice -- churches and young adults in Austin crying out together to God, looking for transformation in our lives and our city. At the same time, there are nuances to each of the scriptures that capture important truths for this prayer movement be authentic rather than formulaic.

2 Chronicles 5:13

The priests in Israel join the singers and all the people, and with one voice they declare God’s character as good, His mercy enduring forever. God responds by pouring out a cloud of His presence in their midst.

Acts 4:24

The early church joins together single-heartedly in the face of opposition to the gospel, calling on God to contend with His enemies and give His people boldness. God responds by sending His power, evidenced by a shaking of the place where they prayed, and the fruit of boldness, signs & wonders, and increased evangelism and church growth.

Revelation 19:6

The voice of the church is like the sound of many waters, which says that unity doesn’t mean uniformity, and there’s room for a variety of rivulets in the single river that is the church’s strong voice. God responds with His pleasure in the Bride of Christ.
